Oracle and Informatica have had a strong partnership for many years. We have thousands of customers using the combination of Informatica software running against Oracle Databases on-premises. Today, our joint customers are looking for the fastest, lowest risk, and lowest cost path to modernize their on-premises applications to cloud.
On May 25, 2022, I joined Amit Walia, CEO of Informatica, during his keynote at Informatica World to announce an exciting new phase of our partnership to address cloud modernization. We are now focused on working together with our joint customers to help them move their on-premises workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This partnership brings together Oracle, a recognized leader in Database Cloud, SaaS, and Enterprise applications, with Informatica, a leader in cloud data integration, data quality, and data governance. Whether you are implementing a data warehouse, data lake or a data lakehouse across your hybrid or multi-cloud environment, this partnership offers the most comprehensive solution.
The Informatica integration (Intelligent Data Management Cloud [IDMC]) and governance products (Data Quality, Enterprise Data Catalog, Axon Data Governance) will be available on the OCI marketplace, including the capability to connect to all Oracle databases and applications. Informatica has added new capabilities to their products to tightly integrate with Oracle Autonomous Database, Exadata Database Service and OCI Object Storage. Customers can simplify their PowerCenter to IDMC on OCI migration by using the Informatica Migration Factory. Customers will also benefit from a seamless way to order and pay for Informatica products directly on the OCI marketplace and new partners to provide on-premises to OCI migration services.
As part of this partnership, we have also designated Informatica as a preferred partner for enterprise data integration and data governance for data warehouse and lakehouse solutions on OCI. Customers have a unique opportunity to get faster results, simplify their environments, and lower their TCO in the OCI ecosystem. Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse can use Informatica to ingest and publish data from nearly any data source (databases, data stores, and messaging platforms) and across cloud providers. Oracle customers can additionally benefit from pre-built Informatica data integration connectors and application adapters.
Oracle is continuously focused on broadening its strategic partnerships by assisting our customers with their current business needs while providing a flexible platform for sustainable future growth.
If you happen to be at Informatica World, make sure you stop by the Oracle exhibit to view a hands-on demonstration and learn more about this exciting partnership and what it can do for you.
