We are excited to announce the immediate availability of Oracle Exadata X11M for cloud deployments. This next generation intelligent data platform runs Oracle Exadata Database Service and Oracle Autonomous Database in the Oracle Cloud, multicloud deployments, Dedicated Region (DRCC), Oracle Alloy, and in your data center with Exadata Cloud@Customer. With the same price as the previous generation, Exadata X11M delivers significant performance and efficiency improvements across AI, analytics, and online transaction processing (OLTP) workloads. It is used by thousands of organizations, including most of the world’s largest financial, telecom, and retail businesses, to run their most critical and demanding Oracle Database workloads.
Exadata X11M enables orders of magnitude higher performance than alternative platforms for running Oracle Database in the cloud. Optimized with the latest generation of AMD EPYC™ processors, Exadata X11M accelerates all your Oracle Database workloads with faster AI Vector queries, faster IOPS, faster access to storage, and faster analytics scans and query throughput. Like Exadata X10M, Exadata X11M caches your hottest data in Exadata RDMA Memory (XRMEM), and thanks to recent software enhancements, can now scan data in both flash and XRMEM, yielding extraordinary analytic throughput of up to 500 GB/second per storage server. With up to 64 storage servers in a cloud system, Exadata X11M can scan data at an incredible 31 TB/second rate.
Exadata delivers extreme performance through its innovative architecture and sophisticated software. Any database platform can use the latest hardware components, but simply putting those new components in a traditional server architecture will not yield performance benefits that are anything close to what Exadata X11M delivers. Through co-engineering with the Oracle Database, Exadata X11M utilizes optimized algorithms that help you get the most out of new generations of hardware, enabling unmatched performance with all types of Oracle Database workloads.

When using Exadata X11M in the cloud—whether it’s in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), in a multicloud deployment, or with Exadata Cloud@Customer—you benefit from the full compatibility it offers across cloud and on-premises deployments. This choice of deployment options combined with extreme performance and availability truly differentiates Exadata from other Oracle Database platforms in the market. Exadata X11M cloud deployments use the same processors, memory DIMMs, XRMEM, flash storage, and disk drives as on-premises systems and are available in a selection of standardized configurations. Most importantly, the performance benefits highlighted in the Exadata X11M technical blog apply both on-premises and in the cloud.
For organizations that want to benefit from a cloud management and economic model while retaining physical control over their data, we offer Exadata Cloud@Customer. For those of you wishing to exit your data centers to the public cloud, we offer Exadata in OCI datacenters. And for those of you with large existing commitments to Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS, you can run Exadata in these clouds through our Oracle Database@Azure, Oracle Database@Google Cloud, and Oracle Database@AWS multicloud partnerships—all with full compatibility and performance across deployment options. With Exadata X11M soon to be available in all leading clouds, you have the choice and flexibility to develop anywhere and run everywhere.
You also have a choice of Oracle Database cloud services you can run on Exadata X11M. All Exadata cloud deployments support Exadata Database Service and Autonomous Database—you can even run both services at the same time in different VM clusters. Exadata Database Service gives you the flexibility you may require for your enterprise applications, including access to VMs running on the database server. Autonomous Database eliminates common database management costs with a fully-managed Oracle Database service, reducing your TCO. Both services support Oracle Database 19c and 23ai, and are now available with Exadata X11M in cloud deployments.
Whether you’re currently running Oracle Database on-premises or standard virtual machines in the cloud, now is a great time to get started with Oracle Exadata in the cloud.
