Sheng Li
Lead Principal Applied Scientist
Sheng Li is a Lead Principal Scientist at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). His research interests span responsible AI, agentic AI, vision-language modeling, and causal inference. He is currently on leave from University of Virginia where he is a Quantitative Foundation Associate Professor of Data Science. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Georgia and a Research Scientist at Adobe. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University. He is a recipient of the INNS Aharon Katzir Young Investigator Award, Adobe Data Science Award, Cisco Faculty Award, and SDM Best Paper Award. He currently serves as Senior Area Editor or Associate Editor for four journals and regularly serves as an Area Chair for major AI conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, IJCAI, AAAI, and ARR. He is a Senior Member of ACM, IEEE, and AAAI.
