Ryan completed a PhD in Earth Sciences and a BSc in Environmental Geology at Royal Holloway, University of London between 2015 and 2022. His research focused on digital techniques in geoscience for investigating porous flow in the context of geological carbon storage. He worked on a complimentary approach to characterising potential storage reservoirs at the pore scale combining numerical modelling and X-ray micro-computed tomographic (μCT) imaging. Following completion of his PhD, he joined the Oracle team as a Senior Research Advocate.
