Russell Gold has been developing software for close to forty years, the last twenty primarily in back-end Java. He is the author of the open-source projects
HttpUnit and
SimpleStub and currently maintains several Glassfish-related projects, in addition to working on the WebLogic application server.
He has spent much of his career focusing on software development process improvement, especially unit testing and refactoring. He is the creator of the video course
Getting Started with Apache Maven.
When not focusing on software development, Russ is an active
voice actor, and sometime
fiction writer.
