Neelesh Kumar Shukla
Principal Applied Scientist
Neelesh is a Principal Applied Scientist at OCI Generative AI, where he develops reusanle and customizable Generative AI solutions. His work spans across Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models, NL2SQL, Agentic AI, Visual NLP, Document Intelligence, and Time Series Analysis. He is passionate about transforming cutting-edge research into impactful product features and has published in leading AI conferences. Before this, Neelesh led AI Innovation and Research at State Street, helping shape the organization’s Generative AI strategy. He has also contributed to Oracle’s IoT and enterprise applications as a Senior Data Scientist, driving intelligent features across SCM, ERP, and HCM. Earlier in his career, Neelesh was part of IBM Research and Watson Team. Neelesh holds a degree from IIT Guwahati and was a Research Fellow at Heidelberg University. He enjoys solving complex problems at the intersection of AI research and real-world application.
