Kartik Talamadupula

Kartik Talamadupula is an AI Architect in Oracle’s Database organization, where he works on advancing AI systems that operate directly on enterprise data. His work spans large language models, agentic systems, and database infrastructure, with a focus on making AI reliable, observable, and production-ready at enterprise scale. He is particularly interested in orchestrating agents over structured and unstructured data and integrating AI capabilities deeply into database platforms to support real-world enterprise workflows.
Before joining Oracle, Kartik led AI research and product innovation across industry and startup environments. He served as Head of AI at Wand AI and Director of AI Research at Symbl.ai, which was acquired by Invoca, and previously held research scientist and research management roles at IBM Research. His work has appeared in leading AI venues including AAAI, ACL, ICLR, CVPR, and ICAPS. He has served in leadership roles including Application Track Chair for ICAPS 2021 and Area Chair for AAAI and NeurIPS, and was elected a Senior Member of AAAI in 2021. Kartik holds a Ph.D. in artificial intelligence from Arizona State University and serves as the Industrial Relations Officer for ACM SIGAI.
