Fermin Castro is an Architect on Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) Solutions at Oracle. He is a member of the MAA Engineering team (part of the core Oracle Database technologies group) since 2008. In his current role, Fermin is responsible, as an Architect, for the High Availability and Disaster recovery initiatives for Oracle Cloud PaaS services based on Middleware. He also designs and provides automation frameworks for implementing High Availability, Disaster Protection and Maximum Availability Architecture for on-prem Middleware Systems as well as applications running on Kubernetes Clusters. Before moving into MAA engineering, Fermin worked as a Senior Product Manager leading Oracle Fusion Middleware High Availability strategy, product design and product rollout activities.
