Eran is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) where he leads all aspects of security for the platform that powers Oracle’s cloud services globally. With more than 20 years of experience in the information security space, a lot of his focus is on driving security innovation, helping customers in highly-regulated industries achieve compliance and security imperatives best on Oracle’s second-generation cloud.    Eran is the recipient of several awards for excellence in security. A frequent speaker and author, Eran has been a featured by the Wall Street Journal, Cloud Security Alliance, and the RSA Conference.   Prior to Oracle, Eran served as SVP and CISO of Jet.com (acquired by Walmart), Director of Security at Google and CISO of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Earlier, Eran spent several years designing and implementing high-performance cryptosystems for Fortune 1000 clients and government agencies. He is co-author if Mitigating E-Business Risks: Public Key Infrastructures in the Real World, ISC2 Press. He has held several board memberships at security start-ups and international chambers of commerce. A long-time champion of diversity in cybersecurity, Eran takes an interdisciplinary approach to building security teams so that they benefit from diversity of backgrounds, skills, life experience and perspectives.   Eran holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC Irvine and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
