Bob Bownes
Senior Product Manager
Bob Bownes is a Senior Product Manager who has been with Oracle since 2010. He has also been serial entrepreneur founding or contributing to numerous start up phase companies. While at university and at Sun in the mid 80’s, Bob wrote papers on caching in early RISC processors and GUI usability. In the interim, he has held positions in fields as varied as UNIX kernel developer, telecom product development, and CTO of several start ups. At Oracle, Bob has driven acceptance, positioning, and solutions based on the Oracle Private Cloud Appliance,and functioned as the primary architect of the Oracle Private Cloud at Customer product.
