In a recent IDC survey, where 1000+ organizations worldwide were asked to provide their preference for low-code application development platforms, Oracle APEX was selected as the #1 choice by the majority of respondents. These organizations chose Oracle APEX far ahead of all other leading vendors in this space including Microsoft PowerApps, SalesForce, ServiceNow, PegaSystems, Appian, and Outsystems.

The overall goal of the survey was to identify how organizations’ preferences around application development and life-cycle management are evolving and how application service providers can align their services offerings and capabilities to address varied customer needs.
Application service providers should understand how buyer organizations are approaching application development using low code/no code to better support evolving customer needs as well as maintain deeper customer relationships in an increasingly competitive environment,
explained Pete Marston, research director, Worldwide Intelligent Application Services.
