2025 has been an extraordinary year for the Oracle APEX community — a year defined by innovation, collaboration, and global momentum. We had the privilege of connecting with developers, customers, partners, students, and community leaders across regions to share how Oracle APEX and AI are transforming the future of application development. From hands-on workshops and university engagements to large-scale enterprise bootcamps and customer innovation showcases, each event reinforced the power of APEX to accelerate development, deliver real business impact, and empower everyone to build intelligent apps faster than ever before.

As we reflect on a remarkable year, here is a look back at the highlights in the JAPAC region — quarter by quarter.

January – March: Kicking Off the Year with Energy

The year began with a strong showcase of Oracle APEX 24.2 features as we shared new product capabilities, live demos featuring Generative AI development, and customer success stories. These events set the tone for an exciting year ahead, emphasising the power of AI to accelerate app development and deliver rapid business outcomes.

Key highlights:

  • Oracle CloudWorld Tour (Mumbai) – We showcased how Oracle APEX accelerates digital transformation with AI-powered low-code development, featuring live demos and success stories from leading enterprises to an audience of 120+ delegates from major OCI customers and global System Integrators. 
  • Oracle APEX Utsav (6 Cities) – In collaboration with the India Oracle APEX User Group (INOAUG), the Oracle APEX Product team travelled across India’s major tech hubs to participate in deep-dive technical sessions and customer success showcases for an audience of over 1,100 attendees.
  • Internal Enablement Bengaluru – Oracle employees are among the largest users of Oracle APEX. With every new APEX release, we conduct enablement sessions to build awareness of new features and drive adoption, with over 400+ employees attending the session.
  • First Women in APEX Meetup – Bengaluru – A milestone community initiative that brought together women innovators and industry leaders to share experiences, mentorship, and perspectives on growth in low-code and AI. The event featured an inspiring panel discussion with women leaders in the Oracle APEX community, highlighting real-world success stories and the impact of APEX, and was attended by over 60+ women.
  • JAPAC Office Hours – APEX + Slack/Outlook Integration – Each month, the Oracle APEX Product team hosts a webinar inviting community speakers and APEX experts to demonstrate and showcase their APEX skills and knowledge. This particular session demonstrated seamless enterprise productivity by integrating Oracle APEX applications with Slack and Outlook using modern APIs and automation.
  • NACIE Hyderabad, Pune & Bengaluru Tech Days – In collaboration with the North America Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering team, the Oracle APEX Product Team delivered interactive sessions and demos, driving deep discussions with exclusive customers and enterprise developers to accelerate innovation with APEX, with 110+ delegates attending at each location.
  • MultiCloudWorld Events (4 Cities) – The All India Oracle User Group (AIOUG) conducted a multi-city event series focused on showcasing the benefits of Oracle multicloud. As part of the program, the Oracle APEX Product team demonstrated how quickly and easily developers can build applications using Oracle APEX in a multicloud setup.

April – June: Growing Reach & Accelerating Learning

As the year progressed, Oracle APEX significantly expanded its reach and influence across enterprises, universities, and developer communities, driving strong momentum through a growing portfolio of roadshows and deep technical engagements.

Key highlights:

  • Oracle APEX Roadshow – Hyderabad – The Oracle APEX Product Team hosted an in-person event exclusively for the Hyderabad community and customers to gain insights into the recently launched Oracle APEX 24.2 innovations driving enterprise adoption. The event drew  250+ attendees.
  • JAPAC Office Hours – 5 Game-Changing Features of APEX 24.2 – Highlighted breakthrough capabilities that enhance developer productivity and elevate UX.
  • Oracle APEX Tech Day @ Customer Campus, Bengaluru – The APEX Product Team were invited to the customer location to engage with the local teams of 50+ developers and drive a focused in-person engineering workshop demonstrating accelerated development with APEX + AI.
  • Oracle Dev Tour – Bengaluru – We delivered and led sessions on modern application patterns using Oracle APEX and Autonomous Database through live demos and expert insights, engaging 184 developers, DBAs, executive decision-makers, and AI enthusiasts from major APEX customers and global System Integrators.
  • 2-Day In-person Workshop for Government Sector –  The program provided hands-on guidance, best practices, and deep dives into Oracle APEX capabilities.
  • Oracle APEX Workshop and Hackathon – Dubai – The Oracle APEX Product Team hosted a 2-day boutique bootcamp and hackathon in Dubai attended by 50+ customers in the UAE region, creating an exclusive, small-group learning environment that helped customers deepen their Oracle APEX skills while enabling employees to advance their expertise.
  • JAPAC Office Hours 
    • DevOps & Lifecycle Best Practices – Demonstrated end-to-end enterprise CI/CD with APEX.
    • Building Content Apps using APEX and WebCenter – Showcased rapid content-driven app development combining structured data and enterprise document systems.

July – September: Hands-On Innovation & Enterprise Momentum

Halfway through the year, the focus shifted towards hands-on building, enterprise transformation, and education impact at scale.

Key highlights:

  • Oracle APEX @ University program at multiple institutions (Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bharati Vidyapeeth and Kristu Jayanthi University) –  Empowered students with real-world learning and hands-on AI-powered app development training.More than 500+ students upskilled, with 59 becoming certified APEX Cloud Developers and building AI-enabled projects.
  • Oracle APEX Bootcamps – Bengaluru & Pune – Intensive technical training at our campuses, enabling 200+ customers and partners to build real, scalable applications.
  • AI Webinar Series with AICamp – A Total of 3 global online sessions exploring generative development and AI-powered app building using Oracle APEX. The sessions included Live Demos of building an App leveraging AI from scratch that generated intrigue among the participants. Each session saw an average of 245+ attendees spanning across 10+ countries.
  • AUSOUG APEX Special Series – The APEX Product Team presented a Virtual deep-dive on generative app development using APEX AI capabilities.
  • Dev Days @ Customer Location (Pune) – Through a combination of in-person and remote sessions, we reached 520+ developers and DBAs, providing immersive, hands-on APEX training designed to enable enterprise teams to rapidly build and scale applications with Oracle APEX.

    In a similar engagement for another customer, we reached 110+ developers both on-site and remotely, with a strong focus on new APEX features, vector search, and Oracle Database 26ai capabilities through interactive hands-on labs. Following the session, the customer shared:” Last week, we had the privilege of facilitating a two-day workshop in collaboration with Oracle, bringing together leaders and practitioners for an intensive learning and knowledge-sharing experience. Workshops like these reaffirm the power of collaboration between technology partners and business leaders. Together, we not only learn and explore but also create opportunities to drive meaningful transformation and innovation.”
  • INOAUG’s Xcelerate 2025 Hackathon – The Oracle APEX PM team actively engaged with and inspired student innovation, enabling the use of APEX and AI to solve real-world challenges, with participation from 125+ student teams.
  • 3-Day In-person Workshop for Government Sector –Led by the Oracle APEX Product team, the on-demand, in-person workshop addressed the specific requirements of government customers, providing hands-on guidance and in-depth exploration of Oracle APEX capabilities to accelerate enterprise application development, modernize architectures, and solve real-world challenges.
  • Dedicated Bootcamp for Public Sector – To address stringent security, data sovereignty, and access constraints, the Oracle APEX Product team conducted dedicated, on-demand bootcamps at customer locations for over 100+ developers and DBAs. These bootcamps provided hands-on, immersive training focused on secure application development, architecture, identity and access management, and deployment best practices aligned with public sector compliance requirements.
  • JAPAC Office Hours –
    • Integrating LLMs, Vector, and Spatial – We hosted speakers from Oracle ANZ Cloud Engineering Team, demonstrating advanced AI techniques for enterprise applications.
    • Clay Lacy Aviation Transformation Story – Real enterprise example of automating workflows using APEX + LLMs + tool calling.

October – December: Global Expansion & AI Acceleration

As we approached the final stretch of the year, we saw Oracle APEX come alive with stronger enterprise momentum and a wave of exciting possibilities shaping what comes next.

Key highlights:

  • HYSEA Oracle APEX AI Immersive Workshop – In partnership with the Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA), the Oracle Product Team showcased the power of generative app development with Oracle APEX, unlocking new possibilities and engaging with a vibrant community of 120 customers.
  • Hawaii Annual Code Challenge Workshop – Demonstrated the power of generative development with Oracle APEX and AI, engaging an audience of developers, and AI enthusiasts..
  • Dedicated in-person Workshops for Customers – This year, we delivered 14 technical workshops across the JAPAC region, helping organizations in critical sectors modernize their applications and accelerate digital transformation. These workshops were hosted both on customer premises and at Oracle offices, bringing hands-on learning directly to customers in their local regions.
    • We hosted a two-day bootcamp at the Oracle Hyderabad office, offering hands-on APEX, ADB, and AI sessions. This initiative supported PoCs and equipped leaders from across India with the skills to train and enable their teams. 
    • We conducted a three-day dedicated bootcamp at our Bengaluru campus
    • We conducted a three-day dedicated bootcamp at our Gurugram office for strategic customers focusing on Oracle APEX, Autonomous Database, and OCI—bringing together 28 full-stack and PHP developers to explore modernizing legacy and full-stack systems using OCI and GenAI-powered application development with Oracle APEX.
  • APEX Virtual Workshop for Customer– We conducted a dedicated virtual workshop for a customer focussing on Oracle APEX and AI.
  • Internal Enablement: We actively collaborated with Sales and Pre-Sales teams across the JAPAC region through on-demand sessions, enabling them with insights into Oracle APEX and its newest features.
  • Oracle APEX AI Days – Chennai, Gurugram, Hyderabad – Multi-city immersive events by INOAUG where the Oracle APEX Product Team showcased Generative Development using Oracle APEX, upcoming features and what’s in store. The event also hosted customers innovations with APEX + AI attended by 780+ enthusiasts across three cities.
  • SGOUG North East Monsoon Conference – Singapore – The Oracle APEX PM team led an impactful session at this event in Singapore, showcasing APEX innovations. The event also provided an opportunity to engage directly with many of our strategic customers in the region.
  • Oracle APEX Bootcamp – Africa –  We virtually engaged over 50+ developers and APEX enthusiasts across Africa through a comprehensive soup-to-nuts bootcamp covering end-to-end Oracle APEX development.
  • AUSOUG Connect 2025 – Perth & Melbourne – Engaged the Australian Oracle community with the latest trends in APEX and AI.
  • Oracle APEX GenDev at Customer hosted Techathon – A 2.5 hour deep-dive demonstrating accelerated enterprise app development using Oracle APEX and AI to 210+ global participants.
  • Tūtahi: NZOUG 2025 – Showcased APEX roadmap and customer success to the Oracle community in New Zealand.
  • Oracle APEX Bengaluru Roadshow  – An electrifying year-end gathering packed with compelling demos, roadmap previews, and community celebrations—welcoming 355+ attendees.
  • JAPAC Office Hours – Year-End Edition – Closing session by Oracle Product Team demonstrating how to Build Audio Analysis Applications with Oracle APEX and OCI AI.
