We are moving the free APEX evaluation service to oracleapex.com!
For over 20 years, the Free APEX Evaluation Service on apex.oracle.com has been at the heart of the Oracle APEX community. This service has played a vital role in shaping what APEX is today by giving thousands of developers across the globe a place to learn, experiment, and evaluate APEX for free. As of today, there are more than 90,000 active workspaces and over 260,000 applications running in this open environment, helping users bring ideas to life and test drive APEX.
On August 17, 2025, we will be moving the free APEX evaluation service to a new domain: oracleapex.com!
For the vast majority of users, this change will be seamless. You will not need to make any changes, and you will be able to access your workspaces and applications as usual. See the FAQ below for more details.
FAQ
Q: What’s happening with the free APEX evaluation service?
A: The free APEX evaluation service is moving to a new domain: oracleapex.com. Soon, you will access your workspaces and applications on oracleapex.com instead of apex.oracle.com. The marketing website will remain at apex.oracle.com.
Q: Will my old bookmarks and saved links still work?
A: Yes. Redirects will be set up from apex.oracle.com to oracleapex.com for a period of time after the change, so your current bookmarks and links will continue to work as expected.
Q: Will the email sender address change?
A: Yes. Emails sent from user workspaces and applications on the new domain will come from dbtools-apexext-noreply@oracleapex.com. The general APEX notification address (oracle-application-express_ww@oracle.com ) will stay the same. If you use allow-lists for email delivery, please update them as needed.
Q: I use social sign-in for my application. Will the domain change impact social sign-in authentication?
A: Yes, social sign-in authentication will be impacted by the move to oracleapex.com. You will need to register the new URL with your social sign-in provider. To learn more, please visit the APEX documentation or consult your social sign-in provider’s documentation.

Q: Will my applications or workspaces change in any other way?
A: No. Only the domain used for access will change. Your applications, workspaces, data, and settings will stay the same.
Q: Do I need to do anything to prepare?
A: For most users, nothing needs to be done. Everything will keep working as before. Only users who use social sign-in authentication or have integrations referencing apex.oracle.com should review and update as needed.
