Expanded Select AI capabilities
Key additions focused on developer productivity and stronger NL2SQL accuracy:
- Summarize Text with Select AI
Generate summaries from prompts or URIs; customize behavior via SQL/PL/SQL functions. - Translate Text Using Select AI
Translate across multiple languages via SQL/PL/SQL using your configured AI provider. - Improved SQL query generation via metadata enhancements
Improve NL2SQL grounding using:- table/column comments
- Oracle AI Database 26ai annotations
- foreign keys and referential constraints (for more accurate JOIN generation)
Managed via AI profile settings.
OCI Data Catalog integration (DBMS_DCAT)
Autonomous AI Database now supports DBMS_DCAT for integration with OCI Data Catalog, enabling:
- sync of Data Catalog assets with your database
- automatic creation of protected schemas and external tables
- querying Object Storage via external tables
- joining external data with internal Autonomous AI Database data
Backup enhancement on Oracle Database@AWS
In Autonomous AI Database on Oracle Database@AWS, you can now choose Autonomous Recovery Service (ARS) as the backup destination when creating an Autonomous Container Database (ACD):
