It's been a busy couple of days at VMworld.
Chris Kawalek gave a talk yesterday about Sun xVM VDI, which ended up being standing room only, and which Steve Wilson described as "awesome". Again, tragically, there's no video, but Steve might blog about it.
Richard Rajecki, one of the marketing guys who went to VMworld, had this to say:
"Why is this Sun marketing employee so happy. There was a line of 8 customers looking to register for additional VDI info and there was a line ALL DAY LONG for both VDI and xVM.
"I have gone to a lot of SUN events and shows over the years and this was 500% better than anything I have ever seen. vmware had a lot of employees in their booth.....standing around.....SUN had customers asking questions....at times three deep. :-) ."
And Ben Kirk had a few things to say about the huge degree of interest he's seen at the Sun xVM booth - evidently we got quite a few people to sign up for the Sun xVM Server project at kenai.com and also ran out of openxVM T-shirts. Ben also posted the snazzy picture of himself that I shamelessly stole earlier in the week.
