Its Fri- fri-fri-friday! I have some heavy weight hitters lined up for next week on bursting in the various applications but today its gonna be light and fluffy.
Clipart - remember that option when you install MSWord, do you want the Clipart library? If you take it you get a bunch of esoteric images that you can use to brighten your documents or provide rather tenuous visual clues to those that dont want to read your fine prose but would rather look at pretty pictures or as in my son's case he just likes the image and wants to include it despite it having nothing to do with the text.
Well, guess what, yep, BIP can do that ... it supports all of that clipart, it also supports the WordArt module, Equation Editor and Organization Chart.
Theres a question on the forum about the latter and how you can dynamically build the org chart ... we'll have a go at that another day. So what! I hear you say ... how can I use them in a business environment?
Well, leaving the obvious use for the org chart, how about employee or student certificates.
Easily built with MSWord and then data enabled and batched by BIP ... all those funky borders suddenly come to life. How about a benefits brochure?
Notice the use of WordArt to rotate the text ... I have to thank Neida and Josephine in a sunny city in Florida. They have done the 'boring' but of course essential employee check print and are starting to think about some of the other documents they have to get third parties to print for them.
Thats Fluffy Friday, perhaps not so fluffy but certainly not hard core invoicing :o)
