New Sun Ray Server update (5.1)

The Sun Ray team this morning released another update of the Sun Ray Server software with a bunch of new features in it (along with a number of bugfixes).

The software is available for download at http://edelivery.oracle.com under the Oracle Desktop Virtualization category.

To name but a few of the cool news things :

- added support for Windows 7 and Windows 2008R2 multimedia. This means that you will see your flash videos and other multimedia content play smoothly not just in IE and in XP but across the board.

- usb redirect to all the operating systems (Windows 7, Linux etc)

- audio input support

- a number of security enhancements

- new Sun Ray thin client OS/firmware updates

- a new update of the Oracle Virtual Desktop Client (sun ray soft client)

- a new Windows Connector version

lots of good stuff - many things in there that people have been asking for.

have at it

Comments:

Are there plans to support RDPv7 with the Windows Connector? My Windows team keep complaining that the Windows Connector only uses RDPv6.
