What are people saying about your brand? Your competitors’ brand? Your space? The Oracle SRM Social Intelligence Center in the second-floor lobby of Moscone West offers a visual example of how you can get that information.
“The center is designed to turn information into insights for any client at an event like this or at a client’s headquarters,” says Angela Wells, Oracle’s director of outbound product management. “We pull in from 40 million websites and blogs all kinds of information about what people are saying. In this case, we designed the demonstration around Oracle OpenWorld. So we’re tracking #oow14 and #openworld14 that people are using and we’re pulling in what they’re saying about the event.”
What kind of information? It includes the talk about sessions and Oracle OpenWorld in general, who the talk influencers are, where they’re from, what the influencers are talking about, the key themes, and what’s trending. “And it’s all presented in an engaging way, so you can easily see what and who is creating a buzz,” says Wells.
