☞ Endings and Their Consequences

With Tom Watson gone and his former staff apparently reassigned, this comes as no surprise. My feeling is that the UK Government probably got some negative feedback from certain vendors in private and deprecated the whole thing once Tom was conveniently out of the way (and got on with the opposite, like Mandelson's antI-citizen three-strikes diktat). A shame, because governments all over the world see the policy as groundbreaking and visionary and are rushing to better it.
I have a hunch I know someone in the family who will want to visit this while it's open...
I mean to go to bed earlier, but I get so engrossed in the internet that I forget to do it.
It seemed inevitable that Verisign would shut it down eventually since they have a $20 service that does the same thing - I'm just thankful it's taken so long. Time to get PGP working properly.
