We’re thrilled to announce the General Availability (GA) of the Oracle WebLogic Management Service (WLMS), a game-changer for customers running Oracle WebLogic Server on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). After a successful Limited Availability phase and invaluable input from early adopters, this powerful service is now production-ready, available in 10 OCI regions. We will expand availability to additional OCI regions over time. To find out whether this is available in your OCI region, visit Oracle WebLogic Management Service Availability documentation page or OCI Status page.
If you’re managing WebLogic domains on OCI Compute instances, Oracle WebLogic Management Service is built just for you — offering a simple, modern way to control, patch, and monitor your WebLogic environments with ease.
A New Way to Manage WebLogic domains on OCI
Managing WebLogic domains in the cloud doesn’t need to be complex or time-consuming. With Oracle WebLogic Management Service, you can now perform essential operations like starting, stopping, restarting, and even rolling restarts, all from within the OCI Console’s intuitive interface.
Patching is no longer a complex task. You can apply the latest Critical Patch Updates (CPUs) to your WebLogic Server and Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure with just a few clicks and with minimal disruption, helping to keep your environments secure and reliable.
The service works through a lightweight plugin installed on your OCI compute instances, enabling automated discovery and control of your WebLogic domains without the need to install additional tooling or write custom scripts.
What’s available at GA?
The GA release marks a major milestone. Not only is the service now ready for production use with improved stability, enhanced user experience, and broader regional availability. With GA, Oracle WebLogic Management Service brings the following capabilities to your WebLogic environments:
