IRM Now Available with CPU-based Licensing

Previously Oracle Information Rights Management has only been available on a per user basis. This has made it seem quite expensive for a large deployment. With the integration between UCM & IRM we are seeing more and more organizations rolling out IRM across their enterprise; having their sensitive information automatically sealed when it is checked into UCM.

Oracle has responded to this demand for much broader deployments by offering IRM on a per CPU-based license.

This makes IRM a real option for organizations wanting to ensure that the sensitive information isn't leaked by their own staff or trusted partners: as was the case with data on the President's helicopter this week!

I can't find the information on the Oracle Price List. Where did you find this information? Is this official?

Hi Gonzalo The externally available pricelist has not yet been updated with this information. However it is available on the pricelist that all Oracle sales people have access to. I have deliberately not put the price in this article until it is posted, but if you want the price please ask your local Oracle representative.
