The Evolution of Web Experience Management
By Michael Snow on Aug 08, 2011
our launch of the new Oracle WebCenter last month (view the
webcast), we've been spending some time here looking at each of the "pillars" that make up
Oracle WebCenter. Thus far, we've looked at Oracle WebCenter Content,
Connect, and Portal. This week, we'll be taking a closer look at the
fourth pillar, Oracle WebCenter Sites, our Web Experience Management
Oracle’s Web Experience Management solution enables organizations to optimize the online channel for driving marketing and customer experience management success. It empowers business users to manage the web presence and create a rich and engaging experience online for customers and prospects. The solution offers a leading WCM foundation with built-in content targeting and analytics, social computing, mobile channel enablement, and much more.
One can't really write about this without acknowledging that some of the functionality strength of this pillar comes from Oracle's recent acquisition of FatWire Software, whose specialty and dominance in Web Experience Management now combining with Oracle's Fusion Middleware introduces a market-changing solution set that ties front end experience with back-office systems and proven enterprise applications infrastructure. Oracle’s new solution and vision for web experience management fits in as a seamless part of Oracle’s comprehensive strategy for managing the customer experience.
This week, on Wednesday, August 10th - we'll be hosting a webcast to announce the Oracle & FatWire integration plans. We'll hope you'll register and join us using the registration link in the invitation below.
