WWDC2007

It's 5am in the morning here in Beijing. Wake up, dim light of pre-dawn, and I remember it's the WWDC 2007 day. What has Steve Jobs said?

  • No dev support for iPhone
  • Safari for Windows? Ouch. OK, I admit I'm downloading the beta 3 for Mac now, but I don't use Safari often, its most important usage is to check if the system proxy is correct, which is used in iTunes, software update....
  • No mention of ZFS, of course also no mention of it being the default FS
  • Nothing is new
  • and I dislike the new style of Apple's website. Again, nothing is new (in the store).

I'll go back to sleep. Maybe install that Safari3 after I wake up. Damned it's a pkg file.

One last word, just go to the Apple web page on Leopard, I have to say the new look-and-feel (especially the transparent menubar) looks like 100% eye candy and has no real benefit for users. Isn't that the Vista style? Also, I'm wondering what the transparent background of menubar feels with a maximized application window below it.
