Fusion-io, now a SanDisk company, introduces support for Oracle VM
Fusion ioMemory has long history helping customers accelerate Oracle Linux environments. With its latest release of Virtual Storage Layer for Fusion ioMemory products, SanDisk now offers full support for Oracle VM expanding the ways that customers can take advantage of the combination of Oracle virtualization and Fusion ioMemory flash.
The new Fusion ioMemory Atomic Series provides premium performance for server-side PCIe application acceleration. The Atomic Series delivers the industry’s highest capacity flash in a PCIe form factor with up to 6.4TB per card. Improved error checking and correction technologies further add value for the most demanding enterprise customers.
Server-side Fusion ioMemory accelerates database applications placing data closer to the CPU and system memory resources for outstanding performance results. . This also allows customers to cache data on the server to accelerate application performance and dramatically reduces the load on Storage Area Networks (SANs). This also eliminates the I/O bottlenecks associated with highly virtualized servers while scaling up VM performance and density to increase the number of VMs that can efficiently run on a server.
Be sure to stop by the SanDisk kiosk (SLX-020) at the Oracle Linux and Virtualization Showcase and visit SanDisk booth #1429 at Oracle OpenWorld to learn more about how Fusion ioMemory and the full range of SanDisk Enterprise offering for Oracle applications. SanDisk will also be hosting two Speaking Sessions:
“Accelerate Revenue and Reduce TCO with SanDisk Shared Flash”, presented by Jody Kirk, Director Product Management. Monday 9/29 at 2:30pm - 2:50pm, at Moscone South at the Scene and Be Heard Theatre (#313)
“Eliminating Transaction Latency in MySQL”, Conference Session, presented by Nisha Talagala, Fellow. Tuesday, 9/30 at 10:45am – 11:30am, at Moscone South #262.
As technology evolves, the complexity of securing our dynamic IT environment has changed, where the threats are no longer just access-based but now content-based. As such, there’s a requirement for intelligent software controlled security coupled with identity-based policy enforcement of all content. That’s where Fortinet comes in, with its network security appliances – appliances that provide an extensive array of functionality an organization needs to detect threat prevention within legitimate content, even from trusted sources and authorized applications.
Fortigate has been certified to work with Oracle VM. Drop by Fortigate’s kiosk at the Oracle Linux and Virtualization Showcase, with Oracle OpenStack at Oracle OpenWorld to learn more about Security solutions for your network.
Want to know how to implement security in an increasingly dynamic world? Be sure to join Fortinet’s leading technical security expert, Ken McAlpine, VP of Network Security Solutions at the Scene and Be Heard Theater (#313) for a 20 minute session.
