Register now.

If you'd like a sneak peek, hop on over to the Fat Bloke Sings, where Fat Bloke goes into detail on some of the new features. My favorite is accessing your applications (or even full desktops) from SGD using just the Chrome web browser. In this graphic, Fat Bloke is running Oracle Linux via SGD and accessing with Chrome on the Mac. This required no installation on the client, no dependencies on any other software, nothing -- just open up Chrome, login, and all of your stuff is there. Very cool.

We hope to see you on Thursday!

Solving The Storage Challenge for Desktop Virtualization Webcast

It can get confusing for sure, but one of the things we're doing at Oracle is making sure our storage solutions and our desktop virtualization solutions work really well together. We get to take direct advantage of the features in our storage hardware, ensuring you get optimum performance out of your investment.

On Wednesday, we'll be doing a webcast on this very topic with two Oracle experts. We have Chris Martin from the Oracle storage team and Andy Hall from the Oracle desktop virtualization team. The webcast is live, so you'll be able to have your storage and desktop virtualization questions answered by our esteemed speakers.

Webcast: Enterprise Desktop Virtualization with Oracle VM VirtualBox

One of our most popular sessions at Oracle OpenWorld this year focused on using Oracle VM VirtualBox in enterprise environments. Oracle VM VirtualBox is used as the default virtualization engine in our Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure product, which can be used to host thousands of user desktops across a large organization. Oracle VM VirtualBox also allows you run multiple operating systems on your desktop or laptop PC, so it's ideal for accessing applications that aren't available on your preferred platform, creating testing and development environment, and a host of other purposes.

Our speakers are Dirk Grobler, Software Development Director and Andy Hall, Product Management Director. Here is a video clip of Andy talking about using Oracle VM VirtualBox for VDI, recorded at OpenWorld this year:

To learn more about Oracle VM VirtualBox and how you can use it in the enterprise, join our live webcast this Thursday, December 15 at 9AM PT:
