Videos from BriForum Chicago 2012

We had a really wonderful show at BriForum Chicago last week! Thanks to everyone for stopping by our booth and coming to our session. It was great to meet all of you, answer questions, and get to hear about how you're using desktop virtualization.

We recorded some videos at the show, and got into a couple of areas we haven't yet touched on. One, is a video in Spanish by Jorge Angel. Another really interesting one is with Brad Lackey where explains the architectural security differences with Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure. We also have a video from our featured speaker Phillip Fiedler from Open Technologies, giving a quick summary of his session. Really interesting stuff! Here are the videos we did on the show floor:

This is the official video made by the brianmadden.com folks of our demo. The video is hosted there, so you'll need to click the thumbnail here and hop over to their page to see it, but it's worth it!

Live from the show floor at BriForum Chicago 2012

The Oracle desktop virtualization team is on the show floor here at day 2 of BriForum in Chicago. As you might have read on this blog before, BriForum is just a fantastic event. The sessions here cover current industries trends and best practices, but my favorite sessions are the "thought leaders" style talks. There are a lot of really smart people at this show and they share their latest thinking on desktop virtualization with the attendees. Think TED talks, but focused on desktop virtualization. Really great stuff.

Oracle is very proud to be a platinum sponsor of this event. We're sponsoring giveaways, lunch tomorrow, and we have a nice booth showing off our desktop virtualization portfolio. We also had a speaking session yesterday that featured Brad Lackey from Oracle and Phillip Fiedler from our partner Open Technologies. Brad and Phillip gave the crowd some real world tips for deploying VDI, with a focus on the healthcare use case.

To get a sense of what we're doing here, you can head over to the Oracle virtualization YouTube channel. We've posted a couple of videos there already, with more to come.

If you missed us at BriForum, keep an eye on this blog, Twitter, and Facebook for your next opportunity to see Oracle desktop virtualization in person. And if you're going to Oracle OpenWorld, there are a number of sessions you can attend focused on desktop virtualization.

BriForum 2012 Chicago is almost here!

We had a fantastic experience last May at BriForum 2012 in London. This year's BriForum show in the US is coming up next week in Chicago, and once again, we'll be there as platinum sponsors.

If you're coming to the show, here is how you can connect with us:

  • We'll be demoing our desktop virtualization portfolio at booth 19
  • We have a session Tuesday, July 24 at 10:05am with our partner Open Technologies called "Desktop Virtualization: Lessons from the Real World".
  • We'll have several Oracle desktop virtualization experts on-hand for informal discussions.

If you're not coming to Chicago, you can still follow what we're up to at the show in these ways:

  • We'll be posting here on the virtualization blog.
  • Follow us on Twitter where we'll be doing live updates.
  • We'll also be updating on Facebook.
  • We'll be recording and uploading videos from the floor on our YouTube channel.

We're excited to be part of BriForum and look forward to seeing some of you there!
