StorONE S1 Software with Oracle VM Offers Versatile Hyperconverged Solution

StorONE S1 Software Defined Storage (SDS) is a unified enterprise storage solution. It is hardware agnostic and can be deployed on bare metal or as a Virtual Storage Appliance (VSA). StorONE S1 provides enterprise-class storage performance, resilient data protection, unlimited snapshots, and data retention in a single software stack. StorONE S1 comes with all storage protocols included; Fiber Channel, iSCSI, NAS, and Object and can run on the same or different storage media in a single server. This makes it an ideal and cost-effective software defined storage solution for mixed enterprise workloads.

Oracle VM and StorONE S1 provide a highly versatile hyperconverged solution with comprehensive enterprise data protection. Deployment is fast (less than 30 minutes) and easy with Oracle VM Templates and StorONE’s S1 VSA. Storage volumes can be managed through Oracle VM Manager or Oracle Enterprise Manager once provisioned and mapped to the hosts. Oracle VM and StorONE S1 complement one another in private cloud architectures by simplifying storage design and application requirements. StorONE S1 VSA can coexist in the same server hardware with Oracle application VMs or on separate VMs outside of the virtualized environment. StorONE S1 storage resources are also accessible by other physical servers or applications in the same storage network. This architecture is not only flexible and easy to manage, but also offers high speed and low latency virtual networking for compute and storage resources.
