Oracle VM VirtualBox 6.1.2 now available!

racle has released VirtualBox 6.1 Maintenance Release 2.

Oracle VM VirtualBox 6.1.2 release includes improvements and regression fixes for Oracle VM VirtualBox 6.1.

Notable bug fixes are:

  • Storage: fixed use of encrypted disks with snapshots involved, improved performance of virtio-scsi and added read-only support for compressed clusters in QCOW2 images

  • Linux Hosts: Support Linux Kernel 5.5 (still working on Guest-Additions support)

  • Linux Guests: improve resize and multi-monitor handling for VMs using VMSVGA

  • Security Fixes: this maintenance release includes "Oracle Critical Patch Updates" January, 2020; further details related to CPU January, 2020 are available here.
