I hope you can help or point me in the right direction. I am in a time crunch/jam. I started a 6 week Oracle database class last week. I had to buy a new laptop that has Windows8 which added another learning curve. I read a VirtualBox download will allow me to install and use Oracle 11g. Can you help? I'm not sure how to go about it. I am using:
ASUS Notebook PC
Processor: Intel(R)Core(TM)i7-363QM CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB (7.89 GB usable)
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Any advice is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance, Heather

Heather,
Download and install VirtualBox for Windows from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/virtualbox/downloads/index.html
Download and follow instructions to install a pre-built database dev environment from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/databaseappdev-vm-161299.html
