Versace Accelerates Application Deployment & Reduces Server Virtualization Costs by 50% with Oracle VM

Today Oracle announced international fashion icon, Versace, is using Oracle VM Server for x86 to address the demands of its rapidly growing data center. 

To ensure their IT infrastructure could meet the growing demands of the business, Versace began an upgrade process that would replace aging IT components with lower cost, higher performance solutions. By choosing Oracle VM, Versace was able to reduce virtualization-related costs by 50 percent, while doubling the number of cores in production. With its new Oracle VM-based architecture, which also leverages Oracle Linux, Versace has been able to reduce its physical number of servers by 40 percent, rack space by 25 percent and power consumption by 45 percent.
