Oracle VM VirtualBox 4.0.10 Released!

Oracle made a maintenance update release of Oracle VM VirtualBox version 4.0.10 today.

This release improves stability, fixes regressions and prepares the way for Mac OS X Lion Hosts.

You can Download it now, or read about the changes in the ChangeLog.

COuld you please clarify if VirtualBox 4.0.10 can run Oracle VM templates. I saw a comment from you dated May 2010 (on another blog entry) where you mentioned " The current generation of Oracle VM templates will not run on VirtualBox because they tend to use a modified (paravirtualized) Linux kernel"

Joe,

It depends on the OracleVM template.
If it is a PV template, no.
If it is a HVM template, maybe, but you have to do some work (the opposite of this http://blogs.oracle.com/wim/entry/converting_an_oracle_vm_virtua
)

And just to be clear, VM templates on VirtualBox are not supported in production.
