We are pleased to announce the availability of Oracle Secure Global Desktop (SGD) with Oracle Linux on Oracle Cloud Marketplace. With Oracle Secure Global Desktop, you can securely and remotely access applications and data in the cloud through a web browser.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) now provides ready access to this SGD image for fast and easy deployment using the embedded Marketplace in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You can launch the solution directly from the Marketplace on your OCI Compute instance.
With a few clicks, you can get Oracle Secure Global Desktop instances up and running. To access the Marketplace from the OCI Console, click the navigation menu and choose Marketplace.
To demonstrate how easy it is to deploy Oracle Secure Global Desktop with a few clicks, simply select Oracle Secure Global Desktop from All Applications.
This will take you to overview details and provides useful links to documentation and resources, and usage information on how to access Oracle Secure Global Desktop on OCI.
Clicking Launch Instance then will take you directly to the Create Compute Instance window with the pre-populated Oracle Secure Global Desktop source and instance configuration details. You may modify instance configuration details here, and clicking on Create Instance will immediately deploy your instance. Oracle Secure Global Desktop requires functioning DNS, so make sure to provision the instance in a Virtual Cloud Network (VCN) with DNS enabled.
Using this method to deploy Oracle Secure Global Desktop on OCI reduces the time to provision SGD to minutes.
You can also find Oracle Secure Global Desktop on the public Oracle Cloud Marketplace at https://cloudmarketplace.oracle.com. Navigating from the public Marketplace will also allow you to deploy these images quickly from within the OCI console or launch a demo by clicking on the Launch Demo button.
