Announcing Oracle VM Manager 3.4.7

Oracle is pleased to offer the Oracle VM Manager 3.4.7 release which includes updated software components, security updates, and cumulative bug fixes since the previous release. The notable updates in the release are:

  • Update to MySQL 8 database: The embedded database for Oracle VM Manager is updated to the latest MySQL version to offer the best support for bug fixes and security patches.
  • January 2021 Critical Patch Updates incorporated for the embedded components:
    • Oracle WebLogic Server
    • Oracle Java
    • MySQL

Oracle VM Manager 3.4.7 supports the following Oracle VM Server releases:

  • Oracle VM Server for x86 release 3.4.6: Build version 3.4.6-2105 (My Oracle Support patch ID 22902487) is the most current installation ISO available. After installation, a yum update must be performed using the appropriate channels of the Oracle VM Server 3.4 Latest repository on the Unbreakable Linux Network (ULN) or the Oracle Linux yum server.
  • Oracle VM Agent for SPARC release Build version 3.4.6-2921 (My Oracle Support patch ID 22902518) was recently released to incorporate cumulative bug fixes since the previous release.

Download and installation

Oracle VM Manager 3.4.7 can be downloaded from My Oracle Support by searching the patch ID 22902502. It is also available for download from Oracle Software Delivery Cloud. Visit download instructions for Oracle VM Release 3.4.7, Oracle VM Windows PV drivers, tools, and utilities.

Existing Oracle VM customers are encouraged to upgrade to Oracle VM Manager 3.4.7. The steps required to complete the upgrade are documented in the Oracle VM Installation and Upgrade Guide.
