Oracle Fusion Mobile Expenses

A big shout out to the Applications User Experience team (and the rest of the team too) for the Oracle Fusion Mobile Expenses app. Check iTunes for availability.

Brilliant.

Watch out for more articles about this kind of innovation. Expenses the way they should be done. You betcha! No more error messaging unplugged, like this real world expense form rejection method that I picked up:

PostIt note showing rejected expenses because Sellotape was used

Comments:

I didn't know I could expense the coffee I get in the Oracle 300 building cafeteria :-)

I'm requesting immediate access to that QA environment too!

Of course, expenses "the way they should be done" is "per diem" -- receipt-based expenses are such a pain in the ass for both the submitter and the processor. No need to waste time and money making an app for per diem expenses, either.

You really should have spliced back to a black and white clip of me filling in my expenses currently - a mass of glue, sellotape and scissors. - Just like they do in the infomercials where everything in the black and white world goes wrong!
;o) Great clip

Hi there, I cannot comment on future Oracle availability or plans, sorry. But, stay tuned to www.oracle.com/usableapps, this blog or blogs.oracle.com/VOX/ for the latest and greatest news!

I’ve downloaded Oracle Fusion Expenses from the Google Play Store for my android phone and am unable to get past accepting the EULA. When the app first starts up I receive 4 instances of the following message:

“Unable to create bean instance: null”

I press the “OK” button and the instances clear and the EULA is displayed. When I press “I Agree” I receive the following message:

“Error invoking method ‘handleAgree’ in ‘class mobile.view.UpdateBean’”

It appears I’m having some sort of issue with Java. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S6 running android 5.0.2.

I’m working with my company IT department to test this application in our environment. Any help or pointers you can provide are appreciated.
