Setting up AMP with GlassFish Web Stack in just a few minutes

Someone asked at the GlassFish Web Stack webinar yesterday if AMP could be set up in less than ten minutes. Judge for yourself.

GlassFish Web Stack is integrated into the main OpenSolaris package repository, so one command will download and install AMP:

GlassFish Web Stack is a separate download for Solaris 10, so first download it by clicking on the orange "Get It!" button at http://www.sun.com/software/webstack/, then install as follows:

At this point, AMP is enabled (and will be enabled after reboot as well) and any .php files placed in Apache's document root will be processed by the PHP interpreter.
