Updated Batch Best Practices

The Batch Best Practices whitepaper has been updated to include additional advice around the new Oracle Coherence based CLUSTERED executionMode for executing Batch jobs with an Oracle Utilities Application Framework V2.2 based product.

The new advice includes:


  • An detailed explanation of all executionModes to highlight the differences. Particular emphasis is taken to illustrate the processing differences between DISTRIBUTED and CLUSTERED exeutionModes.

  • A discussion of using Mulitcast or Unicast to cluster threadpools in CLUSTERED exeutionMode

  • Some guidelines on how to migrate from DISTRIBUTED to CLUSTERED exeutionMode.

  • Additional guidelines on how to design threadpool clusters when using CLUSTERED exeutionMode.

The updated whitepaper has been posted at My Oracle Support at KB Id: 836362.1.

The clustured mode since to be the right way . Does it need Coherence ?
