This thursday I had the pleasure of visiting one of our VAD, Arrows ECS. They had an ODA (Oracle Dababase Appliance) that we could play with and install.
The best part is that they actually have this to loan out to customers so they can try it, as I say seeing is believing.
So my suggestion is to contact your Oracle HW sale rep to see if you can loan one, Danish customers can contact ArrowsECS
But anyway I got the chance to try an install it, from unwrapping it to installing it took 2 hours. (We had downloaded the SW packet for MOS)
So as my last blog was about xmas, this was a little delayed gift. The ODA comes with a 7 step guide to install it, and it works, and I have never installed a RAC before.
The installation process went like a charm and the configuration was very easy. (I have cooked down a 5 min VIDEO of the process, you should take a look and unpacking the ODA)
