Update your feed URLs!

While we've migrated blogs over to blogs.oracle.com a while back, there is still a lot of activity on the older sun.com feeds (which are currently redirected).

The thing is that redirects may not be there forever so please, if you are reading this via your favorite newsreader, make sure you're using the proper feed: blogs.oracle.com/theaquarium/feed/entries/atom.

Yahoo! Pipes for WSIT and GlassFish

Pipes

Yahoo Pipes is a free service to create and access feed aggregations. The feeds are described graphically and can be edited directly on your browser using a JavaScript-based editor. The programming model is a simple data-driven data-flow; check the documentation or browse through the List of Popular Pipes.

Yahoo pipes are a nice and useful concept; Ashutosh and Arun have created Yahoo pipes for WSIT and GlassFish; you can use these instead of searches, although the pipes have limited history and you may want to use them through a service like My Yahoo. Check out Arun's blog.

GlassFish Build Announcements via RSS

Duke for Project GlassFish - V2

We have stopped advertising the promotions of the weekly builds of Project GlassFish because is was extra work and there already was a perfectly useful mechanism: the project Announcements. So, if you want to find out about weekly builds, point your RSS reader to the Announcement Feed.

If you don't want or don't have an RSS reader, check the HTML version. The feed also shows in the front page of the GlassFish Community Wiki and we probably should inject it, via Feedburner as a side bar into TheAquarium and the project home page.

We will continue to announce the Milestone builds as they are important announcements and we want to encourage their use for Continuous Improvements. Stay tuned for GF V2 Milestone 2, we are currently in feature freeze and the plan is for a release in two weeks.
