RESTful Web Services

Marc looking cool

Marc is one of the co-spec leads
of JAX-WS 2.0 (spec | RI).
He is now doing research in a number of things inside Sun, including WADL.
In his latest blog,
he shows how to write a
RESTful Web Service,
using the JAX-WS 2.0 implementation from
JWSDP 2.0 preview
and XPath (from JAXP) to access
Yahoo News Search service.

RESTful Web Services is something that cannot be handled in JAX-RPC 1.1 but
is easily done in JAX-WS 2.0. This is further helped by the way
JAX-WS 2.0 can delegate data binding to JAXB 2.0 (spec | RI).

Marc promises some more blogs on WADL and JAXB 2.0 in conjunction with JAX-WS 2.0 for
more RESTful Web Services.
