    Why is it good news for Glassfish? Because they'll drive it into the ground ? :)

    I don't have to be that cynical :-)...

    We are already seeing many WLS customers moving to GF because of the price differential (and quality too, not our words, theirs!). The impact of an acquisition should give the BEA customers extra motivation to consider whether to move. We - of course! - think GF is a better solution than Oracle, so... more customers moving to GlassFish.

    As you know, I'm a glassfish fan :)

    FWIW, I think they'd keep weblogic and kill off their own appserver (which by all accounts is horrendous).

    Anyway, it seems academic now :

    We will see how it goes; many analysts expect oracle to raise its offer. An interesting business we are in, aren't we? Never boring :-)
