From Editor-in-Chief to Reader

Today is my last work day as an Oracle employee and also my last day as editor in chief of TheAquarium. The last 5 years have been a blast; thanks for your faithful readership and time for me to become a reader.

If you want to keep up with me, follow @pelegri or visit my personal blog.

So Long, and Thanks for All The Fish!

Comments:

Thank you very, very much for all your work.

So, this is my last chance to ask "Why is Oracle continuing to install the Yahoo Toobar crapware by default with Java installs and updates???"

I would love to develop with java at work, but I won't support a company that installs spyware/crapware/nuisanceware with automatic installations this way.

I agree with Lou - this Yahoo installation "behind the door" is not increasing my trust in oracle!! But that's an other story...

I would like to thank you for your great job! I guess the next one has it pretty hard to make it up to you! And I hope we will see you in "action" somewhere else soon. In fact: what are your plans?

Take care & good luck!

I'll leave the Oracle questions for my successors at TA... as an immigration project :-)

Thanks for your kind words, Nabi.

Regarding my plans, I'll do a first follow-up post at my personal blog [1] later in the week.
