Project Phobos Builds are Out - JavaScript on GlassFish

Nice Photo of Phobos from the EAS

Project Phobos is exploring how to best deliver Server-side Scripting support on the Java Platform (more news, why JavaScript?). The sources for Phobos were already avalable and now the first builds of Phobos are also available

The builds are initially available only for Solaris, Windows and Linux and are just installers on top of GlassFish v1 M7. The GettingStarted page has clear instructions on how to run the JavaOne demo (the best screencast I can point you to right now is the Technical Keynote itself [high low] - check about 15:15 minutes into the broadcast). Expect more news about this project and its relationship to GF v2. In the meantime, Enjoy!

Thanks to Alexis for the tip. Photo Credits: ESA/DLR/FU Berlin (G. Neukum). Larger resolution here.
