NetBeans 6.7 Final is Here

NetBeans 6.7 is now available for download. The site includes their usual screencasts (see specially the Overview) and Tutorials.

The new features I find most interesting are the Connected Developer and the Build Tool support (including Hudson and Maven). Other features include support for more Dynamic Languages, Java Desktop/Swing and Web and Java EE; bundled JavaEE 6 and JavaFX 1.2 will be in later releases.

Any schedule estimation for JavaFX support? This is a no-go for me... I guess Sun is prepping an improved JavaFX plugin for 6.7, but if this is not coming real soon, how much work it takes to make the current plugin from 6.5.1 compatible with 6.7?

I would imagine that NetBeans's module APIs are already stable enough that 99% of all plugins for 6.5.1 would run unchanged in 6.7 (and the JavaFX plugin is pretty simple feature-wise)...

I believe the JavaFX plugin will be released very soon. - eduard/o

Shift+Alt+o Go To File seems much slower than NB6.5.
When you type a pattern it used to return options within a second and now it's "searching..." for several seconds with NB.6.7.
Colleagues of mine seem to have noticed the same issue on different OSes...
Is this caused by some sort of new plugin or feature we can disable?

Unfortunately Osvaldo according to:

we are going to have to wait until they push NB6.7.1 bundle through to the JavaFX website at this stage scheduled for July 21, 2009. It's frustrating waiting for this last element after having waited for NB6.7 for quite some time!
