More Fun with Google Trends

Google Trend

Ignacio just posted a note on Stupid Conclusions Using Google Trends that remind me of my earlier Friday Fun with Google Fights...

I added Tomcat for fun and found (live, snapshot) that the only container that is gaining is GlassFish (live, snapshot). But, what does this mean? Maybe Tomcat is really losing ground... or maybe there are just fewer searches?

Anyhow, have a good weekend! :-)

Comments:

Hey, who wouldn't search with such a winning product name as "Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 9.0 Update 1 Patch 1?" That's just good marketing!

Right, it's less than ideal...
The good news though is that "Platform Edition" is going away with 9.1 (single distro, multiple profiles) and "Patch" releases are for paying customers only. Of course you can also call it "GlassFish".

I'm glad you liked my little Trends game, but keep care: tomcat cannot be added (at least not in this way) because the results include the F14 fighter.
