JavaMail RI is Open Source at GlassFish
By pelegri on Apr 30, 2006
Simon and Matt this week make mention of JavaMail being Open Source so we clearly have not advertised it properly. All GlassFish components are intended to be released under Open Source licenses. Most have already been released and we are working on the rest; check the Current Status. There are also a few other noteworthy open source modules that are not in the AppServer, like JSF 1.1.
A consequence of the above is that Activation is also open source and so is the Java Persistence Implementation (1). We are also slowly populating our Maven repository with the corresponding JARs; more on that as it happens.
