Implementing SOA based applications on Java EE 5 SDK

Marina and Ron both recommend (, ) the article Implementing SOA with Java EE 5 SDK. Gopalan's article is a bit long but worth reading. It gives an overview of the Java EE Web Services architecture, a pretty complete review of Java Business Interface (JBI), the Java EE service engine and the BPEL language. The article describes how to develop a SOA composite application, in this case a loan application, using the Java EE 5 SDK (which includes GlassFish) and NetBeans IDE.
Marina attended an industry panel at JavaOne on SOA where representatives from leading providers addressed the question "What is happening with SOA in open source". She summarizes the points made during the discussion.
