GlassFish on Azure, now with full details

After this "GlassFish and Java EE 6 everywhere, even in the Azure cloud!" entry from last month, Arun has now posted a TOTD detailing the steps to get this to work with a recent promoted build of GlassFish 3.1.

GlassFish on Azure

The experience is quite different from uploading a few application artifacts to a PaaS environment as it requires a fairly comprehensive list of Windows software to be installed, special steps to install the JVM, some XML configuration and a few other things to get you started. Until GlassFish becomes a default option, this TOTD is very valuable.

This blog post closes with a list of TODOs. My favorites would be around database access, load-balancing, elasticity and monitoring of the shared resources. What about you?
