GlassFish 3.1.2 RC3 is here

GlassFish 3.1.2 Build 21 is now available and flagged as RC3.
Get it while it's hot, it may be the final build if we don't run into major issues. We've never been so close to a final 3.1.2 release! (do I sound like a broken record or am I just excited that this great release is finally here? ;)

I am a rather concerned about this rapid progression of GlassFish 3.1.2 heading down the RC path so quickly.

there are outstanding issues that should be resolved, but it's unclear to me that they will actually get addressed, which means that this version of Glassfish will not be as good as it should be.

this is an example of an issue that was not present in Glassfish 3.1.1, but, unless it is fixed, means that no-one is going to be running Liferay or anything else that needs jcifs access.

The point of RC builds etc is to enable people to give feedback to improve the quality of the delivered result, and I'm not sure this is actually happening, sorry to say.

Thanks for bringing this (again) to our attention.
Hopefully this is now integrated in the RC4 build (build 22).

I am now happy to say that the purpose of RC phase appears to be alive and well, as the fix for GLASSFISH-18176 has been provided! Wonderful to see the team being responsive. It is very much appreciated!
