Final RC (5) for GlassFish 3.1.2

By definition, one can never know how many Release Candidate builds will be required for any given release.

For GlassFish 3.1.2 we've have two community-reported (and low-risk) bug fixes integrated that justified that we first put out RC 4 (over the week-end) and now Release Candidate 5 (aka build 23).

GlassFish 3.1.2 RC 5

RC5 is really just RC4, only with a new bug fix integrated. Thanks to folks that reported the issues, they help make the product better for everyone.

Comments:

I wonder how to find out which version of Mojarra is used in the current Glassfish (or whether I can just replace Mojarra JAR from the Glassfish distribution)?

The downloadable Mojarra JAR file has the version number in its name, but the Glassfish/modules JAR file contains the same name, without version number:

Glassfish: /glassfish/modules/javax.faces.jar
Mojarra: javax.faces-2.1.7.jar

Do we have to be courageous and try to replace it (and hope that the interface has not changed) or is there any rule/guideline how such a replacement could be done? The background of the question is that I keep waiting on a new version of Glassfish, but actually all I need is a new version of Mojorra (that contains a bugfix). Should I wait on a final Glassfish version which includes the newest Mojarra, or should I do the replacement myself?

I would appreciate the integration of Mojarra 2.1.7 into Glassfish 3.1.2 to save user side effort.

Please do all users a favor before release 3.1.2.

I can confirm that GlassFish 3.1.2 comes with Mojarra 2.1.6. However, upgrading is a simple matter of replacing the javax.faces.jar with the 2.1.7 version from maven central with this GAV:

org.glassfish:javax.faces:2.1.7

I would appreciate the integration of Weld 1.1.5 into Glassfish 3.1.2 to save user side effort.
