The Changing City

By: Oracle Staff

Cities are living organisms and change is inevitable. We’d like to give you a sneak peek into what to expect the next few times you visit San Francisco.

The changes begin with the Moscone Center. It’s getting bigger. Plans are to add 200,000 square feet and create a more inviting atmosphere for convention goers. Ground-breaking has not been announced yet.

More development is coming to South of Market and Mid-Market, while a new subway is being constructed to connect Moscone Center with Union Square and Chinatown. There’ll be an expanded San Francisco Museum of Modern Art reopening in 2016 and—two years later—a new basketball arena.

San Francisco will become easier to get around in and offer even more places to visit. You might become hard-pressed to squeeze a conference in, given so much to do, but Oracle OpenWorld will evolve also. We’ll make it worth it.
